Excel comparison workflow

WIP MATCHING

Upload the Base WIP workbook first and the SKY / source workbook second. Review the first 7 rows, correct headers if needed, save the header map, run the same CUT + style/vendor/color + quantity allocation logic used in the Colab workflow, sort up to four levels, then download one clean result sheet using the Excel 1 columns you kept in HEAD(7): selected Excel 1 columns, exactly one blank column, then Excel 2 values mapped into those same selected headers.

Excel 1 · Base workbook

Base WIP

This workbook defines the form and left-side data.

No Base workbook loaded.
Excel 2 · Source workbook

SKY / Source

This workbook is matched into the Base form.

No Source workbook loaded.

Header review · HEAD(7)

The detected header row is editable. Matched headers use the same pastel color. Default pairing follows the uploaded Colab logic; making two headers identical also pairs them.

Upload both files first.
Upload Excel 1 or Excel 2 (.xls/.xlsx/.csv) to preview the first 7 rows immediately.
Click any header-matching chip below to choose a different Excel 2 header, or choose NA to keep that Base column in the generated form but leave its values blank. You can search the Source headers before saving.

Matching rules

Build reusable comparison rules by choosing a data type, two headers, and any combination of cleanup options. The selected options are all applied before comparison.

No custom matching rules.

Run WIP Matching

Matching key order: CUT → STYLE + VENDOR → STYLE + COMPANY. Within a matched group, QTY/COLOR + IH Q'TY align Source COLOR/RECEIVED rows. Default pairs: IHD → first IN-HOUSE date, FOB → COST, ACTUAL Q'TY → RECEIVED, IH Q'TY → color + RECEIVED. Vendor/company containment and formatting-only differences are ignored. Color comparison also handles operational aliases/notes such as RUST≈WINE≈BURGUNDY, V BROWN≈BROWN, and LT≈LIGHT while preserving original display values. If Source includes SHIP BY, Base INHOUSE automatically compares BOAT/AIR against it; without SHIP BY, INHOUSE defaults to NA rather than comparing against a date. Source rows are not reused.

Save header matching before running.
